In union with many thoughout the USA and Canada, we formed part of the Mexican contingent of the Rosary Coast to Coast event on October 13. Organized by our Grupo Mariano, 150 prayer warriors gathered as families, Youth and Single Men & Women to pray and intercede on the anniversary of the signature apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.
The single men rotated to carry the litter bearing Our Lady of Fatima.
At four previous stations a procession stopped to pray a decade of the rosary which was lead by a child of one of the families present. The children also helped in the organization and cleanup of the event, mentored by single men and women who were responsible for the "hands on" features of the afternoon.
At the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, the final decade was prayed.
Unlike the "Day of the Dancing Sun," a century ago, October 13 of this year in Reynosa began with glorious sunshine which continued throughout the day.
From the families present, one child was chosen to lead each decade. Pictured is the shrine, at El Rancho Nazaret, of Our Lady of Fatima.
After the rosary concluded, the Single Men & Women provided sandwiches and drinks for all present. We were well aware of our solidarity with many groups and individuals who were united in common intercession with Our Blessed Mother.
