Hail, custodian of the Redeemer
and husband of the Virgin Mary.
To you God trusted his Son,
in you Mary placed her trust,
with you Christ was forged as a      man.
Oh blessed Joseph,
show yourself father also to us
and guide us in the path of life.
Grant us grace, mercy and       courage,
and defend us from all evil.
