Every Ash Wednesday the Church enters into battle, even as Christ was driven into the desert and confronted the Tempter. As Jesus conquered, we pray that His battle plan for us, His body on earth, will prove us willing to engage through prayer, fasting and almsgiving-- utilizing his provisions (Eph 6:10-18). May Easter find us victorious in evangelization and giving an attractive witness by living a culture of life and love.
